We actually used this as our "Save the Date" picture for the wedding. This was taken at David's family's ranch in Rocksprings, TX.

Weekend Getaway

Last weekend we went to Dallas for a little shopping and to see a Rangers game. Ryan McMaster and his girlfriend, Joan Grafton, joined us for the trip. We left on Friday after lunch so that we would have a little down time before dinner. Joan really wanted for us to try Javier's so we did and it was delish! They serve two different types of salsa (a green and red) with room temperature butter. You are supposed to dip the chips in butter before dipping them in the salsa. It was different, but I went with it and kind of liked it. Their margaritas weren't to shabby either. On Saturday we went to The Bodies Exhibit. I LOVE everything that is gorey and partially inhumane and this definitely had some of those characteristics. They had bodies displayed by the different systems and even an embryo/fetus room. That was a little hard to see, but after working in the NICU for almost 4 years I've seen a lot of things that no baby or human should go through. After the exhibit we did a little a shopping and then headed to Arlington for the game. The Rangers were playing the Cubs that night. David is a HUGE fan of anything Texas related so we cheered on the Rangers and the Cubs. One if his best friends is a Cubs fanatic so we cheered for him. After the game there was a free Wade Bowen concert outside of the stadium. We stayed and listen to the music for a bit and the headed back to Dallas. Sunday morning we had lunch at PF Changs and headed on home.
