It's been a while since I updated so I have lots to talk about. We finally got a new dog this past weekend. I drove down to Opeloussas on Sunday and met the state representative. His name is Blue and he is sooo sweet and much calmer than Bailey. We have never rescued or adopted a dog, but I think this will work out perfectly. They are getting along great and play constantly.
On Saturday I rode up to the new duck lease "The Grove" with Kim Smith and her son Logan to meet David. Kim's husband Ryan, Buffet and Joan Grafton. We went down to the sandbar on the river and watched the guys and Joan shoot skeet and attempt to dove hunt. They only killed a few a dove, but demolished plenty of skeet. The weather was perfect. I am looking forward to someone fun days on the sandbar.
I took my boards on August 10 and passed! I am now a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. It was huge relief to get those over with. I am working at Velocity Care Urgent Treatment Center and love it. We see such a variety of illnesses and people. It seems like I always see someone I know in there. In fact, they have been so successful that another clinic will open in Bossier at the end of the year. Hopefully I will get to work at that location since we will be in the new house by then. Speaking of the new house, it is coming along. The only things left to do are put in the floors, countertops and lighting. Everything looks so good! I cant wait to move in and start decorating. I have ordered so much stuff from my mom and cant wait to see it all put together.
